NORFOLK, Va. (Jan. 29, 2020)-Morgan State freshmen Ana-Lei Kalawe and Stefania Moyisadi were named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week and MEAC Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

It marks the second consecutive week that the Morgan State women's program has swept the league's weekly honors. Last week Kalawe received rookie of the week honors, while Asmara Rose was named player of the week. This is the first award for Moyisadi.

A native of Baltimore, Kalawe went unbeaten for the week and accounted for both of the Lady Bears' points against Delaware on Sunday. She earned a singles point victory at No. 6 and teamed up with Moyisadi to pick up a 6-1 victory over the Blue Hens' Caragh Courtney and Isabella Montana at the No. 2 position.

Moyisadi, playing in her first collegiate match for Morgan State, put together a combined 1-1 week. The Thessaloniki, Greece native notched a 6-1 doubles win with Kalawe over Delaware's duo of Caragh Courtney and Isabella Montana at the No. 2 spot.

The Lady Bears (1-2) are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 1 when they travel to New York to take on St. John's in a non-conference match at 6:30 p.m. at the National Tennis Center.
