Bears Add Six to Complete 2019 Recruiting Class

BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 6, 2019) - The Morgan State University football program announced the signing of six (6) players to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.

The newest members of the class includes three defensive backs, two offensive linemen and one linebacker. Five states are represented, with two players coming from Maryland, and one each from Virginia, New Jersey and North Carolina.

Coupled with the 19 players who signed during the early signing period in December, Morgan State's recruiting class finishes with 25 signees.

Morgan State's 2019 class will be considered among the top classes the Bears have had in recent years, highlighted by the additions of defensive backs Dwayne Wells Jr. and Simeon Gatling, along with running back Jabriel Johnson and offensive lineman Allen Jones Jr. who were added during the early signing period.

Morgan State finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 4-7, 3-4 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, including an impressive road victory against #4 North Carolina A&T.
