BALTIMORE, Md. (April 7, 2018) – Morgan State men's tennis shutout Harford Community College in non-conference action on Saturday at the MSU Tennis Courts.
The Bears earned its third straight shutout, and its seventh straight victory of season. MSU improves to 8-4 overall, while the Fighting Owls had its four-match winning streak snapped and falls to 6-4 on the season.
The day began with MSU claiming the doubles point. Senior
Lucas Krusinski and junior
Arjun Ramakrishnan also posted a 6-0 doubles victory. Followed by a 6-2-match victory by sophomore
Nihit Rawal and freshman Serhii Khachev.
In singles actions, Ramakrishnan recorded a 6-1, 6-3 victory over John Brett in No. 1 singles, while Krusinski recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win against Antoine La Gloan at No. 2 singles. The No. 3 match ended with
Shrey Gupta claiming a 6-0,6-2 victory over Treston Diaz.
Sebastian Lopez, the reigning MEAC Rookie of the Week, posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Luigi Zanin at No. 4. In the No. 5 slot,
Oguzhan Ceylan dropped Juan Naranjo 6-2 6-3, and Rawal completed the Bears sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Bruno Brocanelli at No. 6.
