Women's Tennis To Welcome Bucknell For Home Opener On Friday

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 6, 2018)-The Morgan State women's tennis team will host the Bucknell Bison this afternoon in a non-conference match at 4 p.m. at the MSU Tennis Courts.

The contest will be the 2018 home opener for the Lady Bears, who have played their first 15 matches on the road to begin the season.

The Lady Bears (5-10) were dealt a 4-2 loss at Hampton (3/31) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match, which ended Morgan State's season-long four-match winning streak. The loss also dropped the Lady Bears to 1-1 in the MEAC Northern Division.

Bucknell (11-5) is coming off a 6-1 road victory at Lafayette on Wednesday to improve to 2-0 in Patriot League play. The Bison have won six of their last seven matches, including a season-best five consecutive wins before suffering s shutout loss at Villanova (3/27).
