BALTIMORE, Md. (March 15, 2018)
— The Morgan State men's tennis team posted its second straight win with a shutout over Loyola on Thursday at the Ridley Athletic Complex.
 
The Bears (3-4, 0-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) rallied together for a 7-0 win against the Greyhounds (4-1), taking all three doubles matches to start the afternoon.

"The guys played extremely well today," said coach Matt Thompson on the win. "We are undefeated outside, and we look to keep it that way. We were without our number one and co-captain, and the team stepped up in a big way."
 
Sebastian Lopez and Oguzhan Ceylan beat Blest Jones and Matt Fitzmaurice, 6-2, at No. 1, and Shrey Gupta and Nihit Rawal beat Reid Burch and Tyler Blessing, 6-3, at No. 2. Lucas Krusinski and Sehrii Kharchev were 6-1 winners against Brian Hoffarth and Kyle Gower at No. 3. 

In singles play, Krusinski beat Hoffarth, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 1, and Gupta beat Jones, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 2. Lopez beat Burch, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 3, and Ceylan topped Gower, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 4. Rawal got past Fitzmaurice, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 5, and Kharchev beat Charlie Shanker, 7-5, 6-4, in the final spot.

Up Next:
The Bears are scheduled to travel to Philadelphia (Pa.) to face Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, March 20 in non-conference play. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
