DOVER, Del. (Nov. 9, 2018)-The Morgan State volleyball team clinched a spot in next week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament with a sweep of Delaware State, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-21) on Friday evening at Memorial Hall.

With the Lady Bears' victory, Morgan State ended a season-long four-match losing skid and is one win shy of finishing with its first winning regular season since the 2014 campaign. Morgan State improved to 47-14 all-time against Delaware State and has now won 15 straight over the Hornets.

Morgan State (13-13, 5-4 MEAC) was led by
Zoe McBride, who finished with a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs.Â
Kalysia Bates added 11 kills, as Morgan State swept the season series from the Hornets.
Roi Wallace finished with a match-high 35 assists and
Jasmin Hubbard collected 10 digs.

The Hornets (2-26, 0-9 MEAC) were led by Mayah Ngundam's match-high 15 kills. Nia Scott tallied a match-high 15 digs and Milexa Cordona totaled 34 assists and had nine digs.

The Lady Bears out blocked Delaware State, 7.0-4.0.
Mykaela Ross led Morgan State with a match-high five blocks and Bates had four blocks. Kiera Holtzclaw led the Hornets with three blocks, including a solo. Ngundam finished with two blocks.

The Lady Bears will close out the regular season on Sunday, Nov. 11 when they travel to Princess Anne, Md. to take on the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
