BALTIMORE, Md. (Jan. 30, 2017)-Florida A&M scored the first 16 points of the game and cruised to a 61-26 victory over Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game on Monday evening at Hill Field House.

Shalaunda Burney-Robinson came off the bench and scored a game-high 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while Alicia McCray scored 11 points and Shakerrya Morrison hauled in a game-high 15 rebounds and added eight points, for the Rattlers.

FAMU improved to 6-15 overall and 4-4 in the MEAC with the win. The victory was the third straight for the Rattlers, who swept the season series against the Lady Bears and improved to 35-13 all-time.

Morgan State (2-19, 0-8 MEAC) was led by Kaylin Ellis, who scored six points and Tykyrah Williams, who came off the bench to score six points. FAMU would go up by as much as 37 points (44-7) when Victoria Nguyen hit a jumper with 3:36 left in the third period to cap off a 9-0 run to start the quarter.
