BALTIMORE, Md. (Sept. 17, 2016)-The Morgan State volleyball team concluded their regular season tournament slate by dropping a 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-12) non-conference decision to host Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday in the finale of the VCU Invitational.

The Lady Bears remained winless on the season, falling to 0-14, while VCU improved to 7-6.The Rams also improved to 4-1 all-time against Morgan State with the win.

VCU was led by Alica Kandler, who finished with a match-high eight kills. CeCe Madison and Vicky Giommarini each added seven kills, as the hosts finished with 38 kills on 91 attempts for a hitting percentage of .264 for the match. The Rams closed out the match totaling a set-high 14 kills with just two errors on 26 attempts for a set-best .462 in Set 3. Rebekah Strange collected a match-high 17 digs and Tyler Sroufe notched 27 assists.

Morgan State was led by
Haley McClure, who had seven kills and five digs.
Minne Masoe led the squad with six digs and
Roi Wallace finished with 20 assists for the Lady Bears.

The Lady Bears will return home for jut the second time this season, when they host the Lady Pirates of Hampton on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at Hill Field House.
