WASHINGTON - Morgan State men's tennis was downed by George Washington, 6-1, at the Southeast Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonials (2-2) quickly grabbed the doubles point to secure a 1-0 lead after the top duo of Julius Tverijonas and Danil Zelenkov took a decisive 6-1 win over
Jeremy Field and
Arjun Ramakrishnan. Cahit Kapukiran and Chris Reynolds posted a 6-2 triumph over
Felix Andre and
Treajh Ferguson at No. 3 to clinch the point and suspend the second-flight match.

In singles play, Ferguson fell 6-2, 6-2 to Tverijonas at the top spot to extend GW's lead to 2-0. Chris Fletcher downed Ward, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 3, before Andre dropped to Christos Hadjigeorgiou to clinch the match for the Colonials at the No. 4 slot, 6-2, 6-1.

Morgan State (2-5) earned its lone point at the No. 2 position when
Jeremy Field recorded a 6-2, 7-5 win against Zelenkov, before Kapukiran handed
Lucas Krusinski a 6-1 loss at No. 6 to finish the day.
