BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 18, 2016)-Tykyrah Williams scored a game-high 19 points, hauled in eight rebounds, had three steals and added two blocks - all game highs, but it wasn't enough, as the Lady Bears dropped a 58-44 non-conference decision to Robert Morris on Sunday afternoon at Hill Field House.

The Lady Bears (2-7), who were coming off an 11-day layoff since their last game at UMBC (12/7), has now lost six of their last seven games. It was just the second home game of the season for Morgan State, which fell to 1-1 at home.

Robert Morris, who has won both meetings in the series, which began last season, improved to 5-6 on the season and has now won two of its last seven contests.

The Colonials scored the game's first points, before the Lady Bears got back-to-back three-pointers by Williams and Chelsea Mitchell to take an 8-2 lead. Morgan State would hold an 11-7 advantage after the first quarter before the Colonials scored the first three points of the second period to pull within 11-10.

Morgan State responded with an 11-2 run, including seven straight points with Farrar draining two three-pointers during the stretch. The Lady Bears took a 22-12 lead with 4:49 left in the half, following Farrar's second three-pointer during the run.

Robert Morris would score the next seven points and scored the final eight points of the second period to close out the half on a 13-3 run to even the score at 25 all at the intermission.

The Colonials were not done, as they opened up the third period scoring the first eight points to extend their lead to 33-25. Morgan State's Zuri White ended a 16-0 run by the guests, which included the end of the first half, with a jumper at the 7:33 mark. But RMU would go on a 9-2 run to increase its lead to 44-30, following a three-pointer from Megan Smith.

Morgan State would close out the third, scoring the final five point to make it a 44-35 game. RMU would get those points back, by opening up the fourth stanza on a 5-0 run to push its lead right back to 15 points (53-38) on a layup by Smith with 4:33 remaining.

The Colonials were led by Anna Niki Stamolamprou's team-high 13 points, while Nneka Ezeigbo added 11 points. Smith finished with 10 points and Nadege came off the bench to score 10 points on 4-for-4 shooting. Stamolamprou also led the squad in rebounds (6), assists (3) and steals (3).
