Victoria Turnbough returned to the lineup and added 11 kills, to lead the Lady Bears to a 3-1 (11-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-12) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) season finale victory over crosstown rival Coppin State on Sunday afternoon at the PEC Auxiliary Gym.

Natashia Barker and
Jasmin Hubbard each recorded a team-best 11 digs and
Roi Wallace tied a career-high 39 assists, as the Lady Bears closed out the regular season by sweeping the season series against the rival Eagles. The win was the 61
st for the Lady Bears over Coppin State in the series 71 meetings.

Morgan State (7-20, 7-5 MEAC) wrapped up the season as the No. 3 seed out of the MEAC Northern Division and will now wait for several southern division teams to conclude their season, to determine its opponent for the upcoming MEAC Championship Tournament (Nov. 18-20) in Princess Anne, Md. The Lady Bears will either face North Carolina A&T, who currently sits in second-place or Bethune-Cookman, who is in third.

The Lady Bears finished the match with a hitting percentage of .283 after recording 48 kills on 113 attempts.
Michaela Collins had a strong outing, finishing with a career- and match-high .714 hitting percentage with a career-hig five kills, seven digs, three service aces, an assist and a block.

Morgan State recorded nine service aces, with Barker also accounting for three of them and Wallace collecting two. The host Eagles had six service aces with Guro Froberg recording three.

Coppin State (2-24, 2-10 MEAC) was led by Froberg, who had a team-high 11 kills and added 11 digs to earn a double-double. Glorines Rosado recorded a match-high 17 digs and Jennifer Gell finished with 10 digs. Dominique Madarang tallied 27 assists.
