BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 28, 2016)-The Morgan State volleyball team returns to action tonight, when it welcomes the Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to Hill Field House for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division contest. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
The Lady Bears (5-18, 5-4 MEAC) enter the contest in third-place in the northern division standings, while Maryland Eastern Shore (13-12, 6-2 MEAC) is currently in second. The Lady Hawks won the first meeting of the season, 3-0 in Princess Anne, Md. (10/6).
 
Friday evening's match-up will be the 62nd meeting between the two teams, with Morgan State holding a 42-19 all-time series lead.
 
Morgan State is coming off a 3-2 road win at Norfolk State last Sunday to end a two-match losing skid. Keana Browne recorded a career-high 21 kills and added six blocks to lead the Lady Bears. Natashia Barker (13 kills, 20 digs) and Haley McClure (10 kills, 11 digs) each record double-doubles. Jasmine Hubbard tallied 20 digs and Roi Wallace finished with a career-high 49 assists in win.
 
The Lady Hawks enter the contest losers of their last two matches, after winning a season-best six consecutive matches. UMES suffered a 3-1 non-conference loss to New Hampshire on Oct. 22 at home.
 
Rachel Kayongo had a team-high 15 kills, while Lucia Babic finished with a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs and added a match-high five service aces. Iva Vujosevic totaled 10 kills and had four aces. Ivana Blazevic notched 37 assists and Koya Sowells led the Lady Hawks with a match-high 14 digs.
