The victory also marked the first two-match winning streak of the season for the Lady Bears, who improved to 4-11 overall and 1-0 in the MEAC Northern Division.

Morgan State's Evely Macedo recorded 12 kills and had nine digs to tie Minja Rankov for the team high in digs. Dinah Jones added 10 kills and Carmen Fernandez finished with a match-high 43 assists, as the Lady Bears earned just their second win over Hampton in the last seven meetings.

The Lady Pirates (0-14, 0-1 MEAC) were led by Reeana Richardson's match-high 17 kills, while Allysa Medina added a double-double with 11 kills and a match-high 10 digs. Alexandra Erhart and Brianna Lilly shared the duties at setter, recording 21 and 19 assists, respectively.

Hampton recorded a match-best .423 hitting percentage in the opening set they won. The Lady Pirates would collect 16 kills on 26 attempts and had five errors. In that very set, Morgan State hit for a .167 percentage and had 10 kills on 24 attempts with six errors.

The Lady Bears would regroup in Set 2, recording a season-best 20 kills. Morgan State would have a .382 hitting percentage, committing seven attack errors on 34 attempts.

Morgan State tallied 10 service aces for the match, but had nine serving errors. Haley McClure, Macedo and Fernandez all had a match-high three aces. The Lady Pirates, who had three service aces and 10 service errors, had a team-high two aces from Mallory Beard.

Hampton held a 10.0-4.0 advantage over Morgan State in blocks. Kyndall Nicholas had a match-high six blocks, including two solo, while Lena Washington added three blocks. Morgan State was led by Fernandez, Jones and Browne, who all had two assisted blocks.
