th annual Maddie Bingaman Tournament (Sept. 11-12), hosted by the University of Maryland Baltimore County. The Lady Bears will first take on the host UMBC Retrievers on Friday at 11 a.m., before facing Rider at 3 p.m. Morgan State will close out tournament on Saturday with a 10 a.m. match against Fordham.

The Lady Bears (1-7) are coming off a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-23) loss to Georgetown on Tuesday for Morgan State's home opener. The loss dropped the Lady Bears to 4-0 all-time against the Hoyas.

Morgan State was led by
Haley McClure, who had a team-high nine kills.
Keana Browne and
Arianna Hayden finished with seven and six kills, respectively.
Carmen Fernandez had 15 assists and
Samantha Prescott led Morgan State with 11 digs.

As a team, Morgan State finished with 25 kills on 86 attempts and committed 20 attack errors for a hitting percentage of .058 for the match. The Hoyas limited Morgan State to a match-high 10 kills in the third set and a low of seven kills on 31 attempts and a -.032 hitting percentage.

Hayden has paced the Lady Bears with 2.46 kills per set, while Browne is averaging 2.38 kills and leads the team with 12 blocks. Hayden and
Monette Daniels are tied for second in blocks with nine each. Prescott holds the team lead in digs with 4.04 per set and Fernandez is recording 5.70 assists per outing. Fernandez also leads the Lady Bears with 10 service aces.

The host Retrievers (3-4), who are losers of four of their last five matches, are coming off a 3-1 home opening loss to Howard on Tuesday. Maddie Schneider tallied a match-high 18 kills and totaled 10 digs to earn a double-double. Allie Stolz finished with a team-high 13 digs. Paige Miller finished with a match-high 28 assists.

UMBC is led by Maddie Schneider, who is averaging 3.42 kills per set and a team-high eight service aces. Paige Miller is collecting 5.86 assists per outing and is second in aces with seven, while Claudia Lopez is totaling 4.60 assists and leads the team. Carola De jesus averages 3.46 digs per set and Marrissa Duncan has a team-high 20 blocks.
