Evely Macedo recorded a double-double for the second consecutive match, finishing with a team-high 12 kills and 11 digs, as the Lady Bears swept host Delaware State, 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-19) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division match at Memorial Hall on Sunday afternoon.

Carmen Fernandez also recorded a double-double for the second consecutive match, totaling a match-high 32 assists and 10 digs, to help the Lady Bears sweep the season series against Delaware State. The win also matched Morgan State's season-long winning streak of four straight matches.
Arianna Hayden added eight kills and
Dinah Jones finished with seven.
Minja Rankov tallied a match-high 13 digs for the Lady Bears, who improved to 11-13 overall and 8-2 in the MEAC. Â Â Â

Delaware State (2-21, 0-8 MEAC) was led by Jasmine Jackson, who recorded a match-high 20 kills and tied a team-high 11 digs. Alliyah McBean and Amanda McAfee totaled 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Marisol Arredondo collected 27 assists.

Morgan State had a hitting percentage of .278 with 38 kills on 97 attempts and 11 attack errors. Delaware State finished with 35 kills on 110 attempts and 25 errors for a hitting percentage of .091.

The Lady Bears held a 9.0-5.0 blocking advantage over the Hornets with Fernandez leading the way with four blocks, including two solos. Jones added three blocks, including a solo.

Morgan State will wrap up its three-match road swing on Friday, Nov. 6, when they travel to the Nation's Capital to face top-seeded Howard. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C. It will be the regular season road finale for the Lady Bears, as well as Senior Night for the Lady Bison.

Howard (14-13, 10-1 MEAC), which is coming off a 3-1 victory at Hampton on Sunday, has spoiled Morgan State's Senior Night each of the last two seasons, so the Lady Bears will be looking to return the favor. The Lady Bears won this season's first meeting, 3-1 in Baltimore (Oct. 2).
