BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 30, 2015)-The Morgan State volleyball team returns to action tonight with a crucial road trip to face the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in a MEAC Northern Division match. First serve is scheduled for 6 pm at the Hytche Athletic Center in Princess Anne, Md.
The contest will be critical in determining who will likely be the No. 2 seed out of the northern division. The Lady Hawks handed Morgan State a 3-0 defeat at Hill Field House on Oct. 9 to end Morgan's season-long four-match winning streak. The loss was also the Lady Bears' lone conference defeat at home this season, so Morgan State will be looking for payback against a UMES squad which also has lost just one conference match at home.
Morgan State (9-13, 6-2 MEAC), winners of two straight and three of its last four matches, is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Norfolk State last Sunday.
UMES (17-5, 5-2 MEAC) was dealt a 3-1 non-conference home loss to George Mason on Tuesday night.
Morgan State holds a 36-19 all-time series advantage and has won four of the last five matches against the Lady Hawks.
