BayHawks Acquire Former MSU Standout Reggie Holmes

ERIE, Pa. - The Erie BayHawks, a member of the NBA Development League, have acquired guard Reggie Holmes from the league's available player pool.

Holmes, a 2010 graduate of Morgan State University, was the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and named to the Associated Press All-American honorable mention team after averaging 21.8 points and 4.3 rebounds during his senior season. Holmes recently returned from a short stint playing internationally in Morocco.

Holmes guided Morgan State to a 27-10 overall mark, including 15-1 in the MEAC, while helping the Bears capture their third straight MEAC regular season title and second straight MEAC Tournament title. He completed the season averaging 21.8 points and 4.3 points for the Bears, who made their second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-4 guard finished his career as the all-time leading scorer in MSU men's basketball history with 2,051 points.
