GAME TIME
The Bears, who are tied for first place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, take on Bethune-Cookman on Saturday (Nov. 5) at Municipal Stadium. The Wildcats posted a 34-6 win at N.C. Central, and will attempt to win its fourth game in a row when they host Morgan State on Saturday. MSU will try to make it four straight wins following a 12-0 shutout at Delaware State. The Bears will look to stay in contention with Norfolk State as both teams have just one loss in the conference. Game time at Municipal Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m. and there will be a live radio broadcast of the game on WEAA, 88.9 FM.
 
THE BEAR-WILDCATS MATCHUP
• The Bears and Wildcats will meet for the 26th time in history ... Bethune-Cookman leads the series 17-8 since 1986.
• During their last matchup, MSU starting quarterback Donovan Dickerson completed just eight of his 25 passes for 74 yards, including three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown as the Wildcats posted a dominating 69-32 victory at Hughes Stadium.
• The last time the two teams met in Daytona was on October 3, 2009.  MSU QB Carlton Jackson completed 10-of-18 passes for 104 yards with one touchdown in the Bears 24-14 victory over the Wildcats.  Junior PK Kemar Scarlett connected on a 48-yard field goal and senior LB George Howard recorded a game-high 17 tackles in the win. The Bears finished the season with a 6-5 record.  
 
QUICK HITS
•  True freshman Seth Higgins completed 2-of-4 passes for 25 yards in the win at Delaware State.
•  Redshirt-freshman Tracy Martin ran for a game-high 154 yards on 38 carries and scored the only points of the game in the Bears 12-0 victory over Delaware State.
•  Senior DT Kevin Myrie collected a career-high eight tackles, including one of the  Bears' six tackles for loss versus the Hornets.
• Saturday's game pits Bethune-Cookman's top-ranked scoring offense (29.9 avg/g) in the MEAC against the Bears' No. 3 ranked scoring defense (20.6 avg/g).
•  The 12-0 win in Dover marked MSU's first shutout since October 7, 2006 when they defeated N.C. A&T 32-0 in Greensboro (N.C.).
 
MSU LEADS MEAC, RANKED T-No. 1 IN TO MARGIN
One of the positives of season has been MSU's ability to take care of the football as the Bears have turned the ball over nine times (3 fumbles, 7 interceptions) and have gained 23 turnovers (13 fumbles, 10 interceptions). MSU ranks No. 1 in the MEAC in turnover margin at plus-1.62 per game. The Bears also rank No. 4 in the FCS in turnovers gained (23).
 
BETHUNE COOKMAN NOTES
• • Since the series began in 1986, the Bears have traveled south to face the Wildcats 13 times (BC leads 9-4), in contrast to Bethune-Cookman's 10 trips to Baltimore (9-2 record). MSU has won two of the last three contests when traveling to Bethune, and Coach Donald Hill-Eley's teams have posted a 3-1 record in Daytona.
• B-CU senior running back Isidore Jackson is the Wildcats' rushing leader and. Jackson ranks second in the MEAC with 644 yards on 99 carries (6.5 avg) and has scored five touchdowns. Jackson (5-10, 195, r-So., Mossy Head, Fla.) rushed for 206 yards on 34 carries to lead the Wildcats to a 14-6 victory over conference leading and as a result of his performance he was named MEAC Offensive Player of the Week.
• Defensively, the Wildcats are led by a stud defensive end by the name of Ryan Davis. Davis (6-4, 260, Tampa, Fla.) ranks No. 12 in the MEAC with 51 tackles and has 18 tackles for loss (No. 3 in the MEAC)with nine sacks (No. 2 in the MEAC). He was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week following an 11 tackles, 3.5 sacks effort in a win on ESPNU at conference leader Norfolk State.

After Saturday's contest the Bears will host the Norfolk State Spartans ... Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on November 12 at Hughes Stadium.
