Opening Kickoff
Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2nd at Hughes Stadium in Baltimore, Md. There will be a live radio broadcast of the game on WEAA, 88.9 FM. Bethune-Cookman dropped Norfolk State 21-7 at Municipal Stadium in Daytona (Fla.) and improved to 3-0 (1-0 MEAC). Morgan State (2-2, 1-0 MEAC) handled Howard 20-3 during the New York Urban League Football Classic last Saturday at New Meadowlands Stadium. MSU's win improved Coach Donald Hill-Eley's record to 44-50 in his 9th season.

HOME GAMES

• The Bears finished 2-2 at home last season in the confines of Hughes Stadium.

• Morgan State's last home victory against Bethune-Cookman was on Sept. 30, 2006 when they came away with a 28-14 win. 
• MSU head coach Donald Hill-Eley has a 1-3 record against the Wildcats at Hughes Stadium .

• Saturday's game will mark the 95th game coached by Donald Hill-Eley...Hill will celebrate his 100th game when the Bears host MEAC defending champion South Carolina State on November 11th in an ESPNU nationally televised contest.
Kevin Myrie was selected NYUL Football Classic Defensive MVP as a result of five tackles and a sack from his DL position.
Allen Stephens is the Bears leading tackler so far this season ... the sophomore linebacker has collected 33 tackles (MEAC ranked #2) and five tackles loss, averaging almost 9 tackles per contest.
 Senior defensive end Bricen Tate, senior placekicker Kemar Scarlett and freshman wideout Chuka Okakpu of Morgan State were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Offensive Player, Special Teams Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the week ending Sept. 26.        
MSU's defense pitched a 2nd half shutout vs. Howard and limited the Bison to 129 total yards … MSU's defense currently ranks No. 2 in the nation (FCS) limiting opponents to  205.8 total yards per game.                                  

Bethune-Cookman Note
Matt Johnson had a tremendous game against Norfolk State last Saturday. The 5-10 senior QB threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns, completing 17 of 27 passes. He also rushed for 56 yards on 18 carries, finishing the game with 281 total offensive yards. Bethune-Cookman defeated the Spartans 21-7.
Bear Tube
Morgan State has been selected to play on ESPNU when the Bears matchup against MEAC defending champion South Carolina State on November 11th. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Hughes Stadium. In Donald Hill-Eley's ninth year at the helm of the Bears, this will mark the fourth football game ESPNU has televised and it will be the second time ESPNU has broadcast from Hughes Stadium. ESPNU televised Morgan State's 14-7 win against Howard at Hughes Stadium on October 15, 2009.

After Saturday's contest the Bears will travel to Greensboro (N.C.) to square-off with North Carolina A&T during the Aggies' Homecoming in Aggie Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 9th.
