What Brown Can Do For You
Sophomore running back David Brown is quickly becoming one of the top running backs for Morgan State. On Saturday, he had another outstanding performance, this time against Norfolk State where he rushed for 128 yards on just 16 carries. In the previous week against Florida A&M, Brown was inserted as a starter for the first time in his career and finished with 124 yards on 17 carries. As a result he became the first Bear to eclipse the 100-yard rushing mark this season. The previous time MSU had a player go over 100 yards in a game was when RB Devan James posted 133 yards against the Rattlers at Hughes Stadium on October 31, 2009.
Brown has been coming on strong throughout the season and is currently leading the Bears ground attack by averaging 6.9 yards per carry. The Baltimore product is currently the MEAC's No. 9 ranked rusher with 59 carries for 410 yards and has one touchdown so far this season.
