Two Bears Selected To Play In 2010 HBCU All-Star Bowl

Morgan State's #Kemar Scarlett and Nico Scott# were selected to play in the 2010 Russell Athletic HBCU Bowl which will be held Saturday, December 18 in Atlanta, Ga., in the Georgia Dome. Kickoff is set for 2:00PM at the Georgia Dome.

The Russell Athletic HBCU All-Star Bowl, the nation's premier senior all-star game, selects the top 100 draft-eligible seniors (including 10 alternate players) from all HBCU Football Conferences, the MEAC, SWAC, SIAC, and CIAA to participate in the nations premier Senior All-Star Game.

Scouts from the NFL, CFL, UFL, and Area Football will evaluate the quality of players available during a one day Official Combine administered by National Football Scouting, of Indianapolis, Indiana. Last year thirty-two (32) teams attended the week's practices and Saturday's game.
The 2010 NFL Draft produced (2) two HBCU draft picks and (16)sixteen HBCU Football Student Athletes signed free-agent agreements. Each of these eighteen (18) players were participants in the 2009 Russell Athletic HBCU Bowl.
This year's game will feature the Best of the Best in HBCU Football. The Russell Athletic HBCU All-star Bowl Committee is proud to announce proceeds from the game will benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where “Children Need Children's”.
Tickets for the game are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information about the HBCU Bowl, log on to www.hbcubowl.com.
