BALTIMORE, Md. – Morgan State ran away to a 94-68 rout against the Hawks of Md-Eastern Shore in front of 1,658 fans in Hill Field House.
It was “Senior Night” for the Morgan State Bears and senior center Aaron Andrews exploded for 18 first half points and finished with a game-high 22 points.
The Bears dominated from buzzer to buzzer as they completed the season with a 10-1 record in Hill Field House. It was one of MSU’s best performances all season as the Bears improved to 10-7 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Morgan State (12-15) scored its most points all season and finished the night by shooting 53 percent from the field, while holding the Hawks 39 percent.
Andrews finished the game perfect as he connected on 11-of-11 from the field and collected a team-high 8 rebounds. #Christopher Grant and Sam Brand finished with 13 points each and Timothy Berkley# chipped in 12 points.
MSU dominated the glass by outrebounding the Hawks by a 37-33 margin.
UMES (2-25, 1-17) was led by Tim Parham and Jareem Dowling. Parham finished with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while Dowling finished with 13 points and four rebounds.
MSU will be back in action Saturday, March 5th when they take on the Eagles of Coppin State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Coppin Center.

- Morgan State recorded its largest margin of victory since the 2003-04 season in which they defeated Florida A&M in Hill Field House by a score of 106-72.
- Sam Brand shot 3-for-11 from three point territory and set a new Morgan State record for 3-pointers in a season. The previous record was 62 3-pointers held by Tremain Byrd in 1997...Brand currently has 65 and still has one more game to play as the Bears prepare for cross-town foe Coppin State on Saturday night.
- Christopher Grant had a solid night for the Bears as he recorded 13 points, had 7 rebounds and a game-high 6 assists with 2 steals.
