Biography
Andrews at Morgan State: He will be playing two positions, power forward and center...undersized but has long arms and will cover a lot of ground...one of the best offensive rebounders in the MEAC... Aaron brings excitement to the game with his power dunks and is generally a great finisher around the basket...the coaching staff expects great things from him and he has the potential to become an All-MEAC performer.
As a Junior: Played in 24 of 27 regular season games...scored 8 points and had 6 boards against Maine...collected a double-double against Virginia Tech with 15 points, a season-high 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks...collected 11 rebounds, 5 points and 2 assists against Canisius...scored 10 points with 6 rebounds, 4 steals and an assist vs. Towson...collected a double-double against William and Mary by recording 14 points and 10 rebounds...scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds against S.C. State...scored 15 points with 8 rebounds against N.C. A&T...collected 14 rebounds with 8 points and 2 assists against Delaware State...scored 14 points with 6 boards and 2 assists vs. UMES...scored season-high 22 points with 8 rebounds and an assist in overtime win against N.C. A&T...collected third double-double of the season against Norfolk State with 15 points and 13 rebounds with 2 assists...led the team in rebounding in 15 games...team's leading rebounder and shot blocker.
As a Sophomore: Saw action in 25 games and averaged 15.6 minutes per contest...scored career-high 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds vs. South Carolina State (1/28/02)...blocked 5 shots and scored 10 points vs. Bethune-Cookman (1/21/02)...finished the season with 17 blocks and averaged 4.2 rebounds per game.
High School Experience: First team All-State, All-District, and All-Region...Garfield was 26-2 during his freshman year, 25-3 as a sophomore, 24-4 as a junior, and 26-4 as a senior...averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds...also played in the Reebok Capitol Classic regional game...lettered in baseball...high school coach was Andy Gray.
