The Morgan State Lady Bears had a tough time in Towson, MD Tuesday evening. Towson University defeated MSU 3-0 (12-30,12-30,18-30) at the Town Center.
The Lady Bears never got their engine started as they were beaten convincingly by the Towson Tigers. TU outplayed MSU in all phases of the game. They jumped out to big leads in each of the first two games and never looked back.
MSU was a little more competitive in Game 3, however a 19-5 run by TU put that game and the match on ice.
Morgan was led by Esther Johnson who had 4 kills and 5 digs for the night.
TU was led by Jennifer Houseman who collected 10 kills.
MSU will look to turn things around as they host the Morgan State Invitational on September 10-11, 2004 at Hill Field House. Tournament participants include; Morgan State, Wagner, St. Francis, Bucknell, and Princeton.
