The Morgan State Lady Bears were unable to get their engine started, and suffered a dissapointing set back to MD-Baltimore County 3-0 (24-30,20-30,16-30) on Wednesday night.
MSU (3-8, 0-0 MEAC)Â had a tough time getting any offense generated throughout the evening. The Lady Bears hit only .031 for the match, and managed just 23 kills.
UMBC hit .287 in the match played at Morgan's hill Field House. The Retrievers took control early, and never really let MSU into the match.
The Lady Bears did have a good run early in game 3, but could not sustain it, as UMBC came back to win the game and put away the match.
Korrine Lewis led the way with 10 kills, while Esther Johnson had 10 digs for the MSU cause.
UMBC was led by Emily Berman who put down 15 kills. Jocelyn Teoh had a dozen kills for the'dogs.
MSU returns to action this weekend when they participant in the Providence Invitational Tournament in Providence, RI.
