LINCOLN, Neb. -- Morgan State fell on the road to Nebraska 64-34 in the first ever meeting between the two schools Monday night. Freshman guard Joe McCray and junior Jason Dourisseau helped the Cornhuskers hand the Bears its fifth road loss of the season.

McCray finished the game with a game-high 12 points, 10 of which came in the second half to help lead the Huskers on a 25-3 run to blow the game open. Dourisseau added 11 points and a game-high eight (8) rebounds to lead the Huskers past Morgan State to improve their record to 3-1. With the victory, Nebraska pushed its winning streak against non-conference opponents to 16.

Morgan State (2-5, 1-0 MEAC) entered the game coming off a big win against Preseason favorite South Carolina State. But tonight the Bears were unable to slow down a much bigger and physical Husker team.

Trailing 30-22 at halftime, the Bears had a hard time putting the ball in the basket in the second half. The Huskers went on to outscore Morgan 34-12 as they were able to get just about any shot they wanted. Morgan made just 1 of its first 14 field-goal attempts in the second half.

Morgan State failed to have a single player score in double-figures. Senior sharpshooter Sam Brand was held to a meager seven (7) points and shot 2-for-11 from the field and 1-for-8 from the three-point territory. Sophomore Karanvir Aujla was the Bears second leading scorer with six (6) points, and senior Chris Grant chipped in five (5). Senior Aaron Andrews was held scoreless but collected a team-high six (6) rebounds.

The Bears had one of its best shooting nights from the free throw line as they connected on 7-of-10 from the stripe (70%). However, they had a hard time in just about every other aspect.

Nebraska won the battle on the boards as they outrebounded Morgan 46-31, and held the Bears to a dismal 24% (12-50 FG) shooting in the game. Nebraska completed the game by connecting on 22-of-51 (43%) from the floor and knocked down 16-of-25 (64%) from the stripe.

The Bears will be back in action when they host cross-town rival Coppin State
