Wright State scorched the nets as they shot 73 percent in the first half and 60 percent overall in rolling to a 70-52 decision over the Morgan State Bears in nonleague action at the Nutter Center Thursday night.

WSU hit 19 of 26 shots in the first half, including five of seven from three-point range, in building a 45-22 halftime advantage. The Raiders then led by as much as 54-28 early in the second half before cruising to the victory.

While
Wright State shot 60 percent overall, Morgan State finished at 37 percent. The Raiders held a 34-26 rebounding edge and outscored the Bears in the paint 36-16.

Three Raiders scored in double figures as Drew Burleson had 15, 10 in the first half, while Everett Spencer added 13 and Zakee Boyd 11.

Sam Brand paced the Bears by scoring 14 points (4-7 3FG), while Karanvir Aujla finished with 9 points and Aaron Andrews and Joseph McLean chipped in 8 points each. 

Morgan State, now 3-8 overall, will be back in action for the New Year when they travel to take on Seton Hall on Friday, January 3rd.
