Major: Nursing
 
Kate Vosper is a sophomore outfielder on the softball team, who last season Kate started in 23 of the 24 games she played in and recorded a .203 batting average. A native of North Delta, British Columbia, Vosper totaled 12 hits, including three doubles and two homeruns, along with eight runs scored and five RBI. She also drew six walks and was tied for second on the team in stolen bases, while going a perfect 3-for-3.
 
The Lady Bears begin the 2015 season on the road against North Carolina A&T in the opener of the N.C. A&T Aggie Invitational (Feb. 14-15). The first home contest will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015 when Morgan State plays host to Hampton in a doubleheader at Lois T. Murray Field.

Where is the best place to study on campus? The second floor of the library
Why did you choose to major in nursing? My mom is a nurse. I remember going to the hospital with her all the time when I was younger. I always saw all the cool stuff she did and I was always interested in it.
My favorite class at Morgan State is? Anatomy. 
Favorite Professor and why? My favorite Professor is my History teacher from last year, Dr.Daniel Gregory. History is kind of a boring subject, but he found a way to keep us interested.
If you were the University President for a day, what would you do? Fix the Softball Field – boom, number one.
Describe your first day as a student at Morgan State University? I didn't know anybody. I was late coming into the orientation, so everybody already had made friends in there and I was just like "hi."  But everybody was very friendly. I got to know people really quick. There were a lot of people that were in the same class as me, so you get to know people.
What do you like most about Morgan State? I like the atmosphere of it all.

Favorite athlete – Me (laughs).. no, I really don't watch sports.
Favorite athletic memory –Winning nationals with my travel team in 2012.
What is your top skill as an outfielder – My arm.
Skill you need to improve- To be faster with my transfers.  
Pre-game ritual –No. I'm not very superstitious at all.

Most interesting place you visited – Prince Edward Island on the east coast of Canada.

Something nobody knows about you- I'm not a natural blonde.
The most ridiculous thing you did - I was jumping over a fence… it was about 2 or 3 feet, it was a small fence. I was trying to go all they way over at once, but I got really scared in the middle … and ended up with a bad scar.  I had to catch a bus to the hospital to get stitches, because my mom was not home [at the time]. I was about 14 or 15…  it was really bad.
