The Morgan State volleyball team returns to action this weekend (Friday, Sept. 3-Saturday, Sept. 4) when it takes part in the 2010 Battle of Baltimore co-hosted by the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and Morgan State. Friday’s action will take place at RAC Arena on the campus of UMBC and Morgan State will serve as host on Saturday with all matches being played at Hill Field House.

The Morgan State football team kicks off its 112th season of football on Saturday, Sept. 4th against the Bulldogs of Bowie State at Hughes Stadium in Baltimore, Md. The Bear are tied in the all-time series, 4-4-1, in nine meetings dating to 1980, and have taken two of the last three.

Morgan State junior libero Dina Beamon was named to the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational All-Tournament team on Saturday.

Jodeen Rademacher totaled a match-high 10 kills and Taylar Barney added eight to lead Montana State to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-21) non-conference victory over Morgan State on Day 2 of the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational  at the A.J. Palumbo Center.

For the second consecutive match, Morgan State found itself down 0-2 on the opening day of the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational. Only this time the Lady Bears were unable to overcome the deficit, falling in three sets to host Duquesne 0-3 (17-25, 7-25, 14-25) in the second match of the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational on Friday evening at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
