ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (Feb. 23, 2007)—The Morgan State women’s tennis team went up against Norfolk State on Day 2 of the MEAC Round-Up. The Lady Bears lost to the Spartans, 6-1.
Nekesa Thomas of Morgan scored the team's lone point with a victory over Norfolk’s Donita Peterson (6-0, 6-2). Morgan's doubles team of Renae Alleyene and Thomas defeated Norfolk’s Ashley Daugherty and Donita Peterson 8-3. Morgan State dropped to 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in the MEAC.
