Jonathan Brown

Jonathan Brown enters his first year in the Morgan State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as the Director of Compliance.

Brown began his position on December 3, 2025. As the Director of Compliance, he is responsible for ensuring all athletic teams maintain compliance with all National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), and Morgan State University regulations.

Before coming to Morgan State University, Brown previously worked as a Team Attendant for the Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystics (WNBA), and Capital City Go-Go (NBA G League) for six seasons (2019 - 2025). He was recognized as a 2019 WNBA Champion as a Team Attendant for the Washington Mystics and received a WNBA Championship ring.

Brown also previously worked as a Recruiter at Case Western Reserve University School of Law (CWRU Law), Legal Intern in the Intellectual Property Venture Clinic (IPVC) at Milton and Charlotte Kramer Law Clinic, Business Affairs Intern at William Morris Endeavor (WME), Legal Extern at the Mid-American Conference (MAC), and Legal Intern at the Holland Law Firm, P.C.

Brown is a native of Bowie, Prince George’s County, Maryland. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from Morehouse College in May 2022. He then earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a Certificate of Curricular Concentration in Law, Technology, and the Arts from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in May 2025.

Brown is the son of William Albert Brown III and Wanda Jones Brown. He has two older sisters, Shawna and Taylor, and one younger sister, Jordan, who earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree as Valedictorian with Summa Cum Laude honors from Morgan State University in May 2023 and is a News Associate at CNN.Â
