Gabe Ukwuoma is a Physical Therapist from MedStar Health at Timonium.
In his role, Ukwuoma will be responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services to Morgan State's student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. He will work closely with the team physicians, athletic trainers, and strength and conditioning coaches to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each athlete.
Ukwuoma is a Baltimore product who completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine. Beyond his doctoral degree, Ukwuoma obtained the prestigious Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
Ukwuoma’s rehabilitation specialties include: ACL return-to-play planning and testing; Blood flow restriction training; Concussion Recovery; and Sports injuries.
Ukwuoma, a standout athlete, excelled on both the gridiron and the track for Carver Vo-Tech High School. His exceptional abilities earned him varsity letters in both football and track and field. After graduating high school, Ukwuoma continued his athletic and academic pursuits at the University of South Alabama.
At South Alabama, Ukwuoma joined the Jaguars football team where he played linebacker and earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Ukwuoma enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and is an avid foodie.
