He later transitioned into coaching after gaining valuable experience at Concordia Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland, where he served as wide receivers and kickoff return coach, developing both offensive skill players and special teams units.
McNeil enjoyed a seven-year professional career as a wide receiver, with stints in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos, the CFL with the BC Lions, and in Arena Football with the Portland Thunder, Albany Empire, Baltimore Brigade, and Washington Valor. His professional career was highlighted by an Arena Bowl XXXI Championship, where he earned Offensive Player of the Game honors.
