2007-08 (Junior): Awarded the 2008 Outstanding Morgan Women athlete of the year...Awarded the 2008 team cross country MVP award...Received MEAC Academic honros for outstanding academic achievement.

2006-07 (Sophomore): Placed 17th at the MEAC cross country championships with a time of 19:48, to help Morgan State to a fourth-place finish…Qualified for the NCAA cross country Mid-Atlantic Regional and competed with a time of 24 minutes…Competed in the 1 mile and 3000 meter run at the MEAC indoor championships.

2005-06 (Freshman): Placed 21st at the MEAC cross country championships with a time of 20:30 to help the Lady Bears to a sixth-place finish…Named the team’s rookie of the year…Competed in the 1 mile and the 3000 meter run at the MEAC indoor championships…Competed in the 1500 meter run and the 800 meter run at the MEAC outdoor championships.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in track and a two-year letterwinner on the cross country team at Benjamin Cardozo High…Served as team captain during her senior season…As a freshman she finished with a time of 2:26 in the 800m to help the Judges’ track team to the Public School Athletic League’s Queens Boro outdoor championship…She ran a 3:09 in the 1000m as a sophomore to help the team to the PSAL City championship during the indoor season…Was a member of the team’s PSAL City championship cross country team, while qualifying for the New York State cross country championships and the New York City High School mini-marathon during her junior season…Ran the 1500m in a time of 4:59, as the Judges’ captured the PSAL City outdoor championship during her senior season…Garnered the school’s MVP award three consecutive years and received the team’s coach’s award as a sophomore…Earned honors in history and was senior class senator…Was a stage crew volunteer and has published articles in Newsday.

Personal: Born July 30, 1987, in Brooklyn, N.Y….Daughter of Lincoln and Theresa LaForce…Major is telecommunications…Career ambition is to accuire her own TV production company and developing her community…Hobbies include shopping, socializing, traveling, writing, reading and swimming…Has volunteered her spare time with various activities in her community such as synchronized swimming, to help victims of the Sept. 11 attacks and at the Roy Wilkins Youth Tennis Association….Is a certified lifeguard.
