Biography
2010-2011 (Freshman): As a Freshman, won the high jump at the MEAC indoor championships with a height of 5’6”…Qualified for the ECAC indoor championships and placed 20th… At the MEAC outdoor championship, placed 3rd in the high jump and qualified for the ECAC championships in the same event and was ranked amongst the top 15 jumpers.
High School: Was the top high jumper in the country and in the school. Attained the title of ‘best field athlete of the year’ every year since 2007. Represented my country, Trinidad and Tobago at the Carifta games, Caribbean and Central American games, Pan American championships every consecutive year since 2006 and always placed in the top 4. Was captain of the school’s track team and led them to victory in the relays and the nation secondary school championships every year.
Personal: Born November 10, 1992…Daughter of Charmayne and Rueben Ovid…Has two siblings, Joanna and Joseph Ovid…Major is political science and government…Hobbies are swimming, reading, listening to music and hanging out with friends.
