Morgan State University Athletics

2007-08 (Freshman): In first meet of her college season Ashley finished 14^th in the 60M dash with a 7.92, 9^th in the 800M dash with a 2:42:58 and 2^nd in the 60MH with 8.59 and a trial time of 8.64 at the Penn State Open meet.  As the seasoned progressed she, placed 2^nd in the 60MH with 8.53 at the Penn State Invitational meet, placed 2^nd in the 60MH at the HBCU meet with 8.86 and a trial time of 8.80 and 11^th in the shot put with 9.69m, placed 22^nd at the New York Armory in the 60MH with 8.73, placed 12^th at the indoor MEAC Championships with 8.89 not advancing to the finals, ECAC second place going into the finals with 8.52 in the 60MH but the end result was DNF as she fell over the second hurdle.  As the indoor season came to a halt the outdoor season was just beginning. Wake Forest the opening outdoor meet she placed 11^th with 14.3 and placed 12^th with 1:04:31 in the 400IM, won the Del State invitational meet in the 100HH with a 14.1 and placed 5^th with a 13.00 in the 100M dash, placed 2^nd at the Duke invitational with 14.12 in the 100HH and 1:02:88 in the 400IM , placed 30^th at the Sun Angels Classic meet with 14.6 in the 100HH and placed 28^th with 1:05:92 in the 400IM, Morgan State Legacy meet she won the 100HH race with a trial time of 13.87 and a final time of 14.34 also placed 5^th in the 400IM with 1:03:42, she placed 4^th in the 100HH at the conference championships with a trial time of 14.05 and a final time of 14.25, finished 5^th in the 400IM with 1:01:63 and a trial time of 1:01:00 and placed 7^th in the long jump with 5.63m and no practice in this event also apart of the 4by1 relay that finished 4^th with 45.90, placed 7^th in the 100HH with a trial time of 13.83 a semi-final time of 13.60 and a final time of 14.09 at the ECAC meet, ranked number 18 in the east region and 56^th in the nation with a 13.6.

2006-2007 at Morgan State: Redshirted.

High School: Lettered in track and field at Plainfield High…Was a two-time outdoor county champion in the 100 hurdles and the 400 hurdles…A three-time outdoor conference champion in the 100 and 400 hurdles…State Sectional champion and State group champion as a senior…Was a three-time All-Area, All-County and All-Conference first team indoor and outdoor selection in the 55 hurdles and 100 hurdles…One time All-State first team selection during the outdoor season and a No. 1 top performer list as a senior…Was coached by Payton Hines, John Bateman and Ruth Wright.

Personal: Born on July 15, 1987...Daughter of Cynthia Adams and William Adams...Has three siblings, William, Tyler-Gail and Kennedy...Major is political science...Is a proud member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
