2007-08 (Junior at Morgan State): Ran a personal best in the 1500m with a time of 4:51 during outdoor season.
2006-07 (Sophomore At Paradise Valley CC): Was apart of the 4X4 and 4X1 relay teams and ran the 400m, 600m and 800m run…Season best time for the 400m was 59.98 and a time of 1:40.53 for the 600m, which qualified her for the NJCAA Indoor National Championships…Ran the anchor for the 4X4 team, helping them make it to the indoor national championships…Ran the 400 meters with a personal beast of 58.89, 800m with a time of 2:16.12 and was also part of the 4X4 team, which placed second at the NJCAA Region I during the outdoor season…Placed second in the 800m at the regional meet and qualified for the NJCAA National Championships…Captured the 2007 NJCAA National championship in the 800meter run with a time of 2:20.
2005-06 (Freshman At Paradise Valley CC): Competed in the 400 meter dash and the 600 meter run…Ran a time of 58.07 in the 400m and a time of 1:37.79 in the 600 m, to qualify for the NJCAA Indoor National Championships in both events…Placed third in the 600m at Nationals and just missed a spot for the finals for the 400m by one spot…Concentrated on the 400m and the 800m during the outdoor season…Ran a personal best of 58.07 in the 400 and 2:17.77 in the 800m…Placed second in the 800m with a time of 2:18.57 at the NJCAA Region I meet, which also qualified her for the NJCAA outdoor national championships.
High School: Was a four-year member of the track and basketball teams, while at Dysart High…Was a three-time Regional champion in the 400 meter dash and placed second in the 200 meter dash during the 2002 and ’03 seasons…Placed in the top five in the State of Arizona in the 400 meter dash all four years…Named athlete of the year her last three years and earned second-team All-Region honors as a point guard on the basketball team.
Personal: Born on Dec. 4, 1986...Daughter of Vivian Marshall and Adrian Vargas...Is the sister to Vernise, Adrian Jr., Thomas, Chevette, Junior, Romeo and Ricardo...Graduated with an Associate degree in liberal arts from Paradise Valley Community College in 2007.
