High School: Lettered in track and field at East New Transit Tech High…As a senior he captured the New York City championships in the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.46…Placed eighth in the 200 meter dash at the National Scholastic Indoor championship…Came in fourth in the 400 meter dash at the Simplot games with a time of 50.20 and finished eighth in the 60 hurdles. Also ran the first leg of the 4X400 meter relay team that placed fifth…Captured first in the 300 meter dash at the Holiday Classic…Was sixth in the 400 meter dash at the Hispanic Games…Won the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.58 at the Brown Invitational and ran the third leg of the 4X400 relay team which won the event in a time of 3:26.50…Began the outdoor season with a win in the 400 hurdles at the Morgan State High School Invitational…Ran a time of 54.84 in the 400 hurdles at the Penn Relays to finish sixth…Captured first in the 400 hurdles at the Hartford Invitational and placed fourth in the 200 meter dash in a time of 22.08…Came in first at the New York City championships in the 400 hurdles and the 110 hurdles…Won the New York State championship in the 400 hurdles…Placed seventh at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in the 400 hurdles with a time of 53.86…Received the PSAL Hiesman Award for track and field.
