A closer look...Outstanding prep athlete for the North County Knights...played defensive end and offensive tackle on the football team...helped lead his junior varsity team to a 9-2 record and a County Championship under Coach Al-Pindell...played forward/center on the basketball team...was a thrower on his County Championship track & field team...set his high school record in the power clean - 285 lbs., dead lift - 575 lbs., and total weight 1555 lbs...tossed a 139'9 in the discus to become the Knight Invitational Champion (2000)...honor roll student...peer helper/counselor...volunteered as basketball, baseball, and track & field coach...career ambition is to become an orthopedic surgeon...enjoys video games and cars...son of Johnny Cargo Jr. and Linda Montgomery...nickname "Big John"...born 7-6-82.
