Biography
2011-2012 (Freshman): As a freshman, Strums qualified for the MEAC Indoor Championships in the 60m hurdles....He also qualified for the MEAC outdoor championships in the 400m hurdles and was a member of the 4x400m relay team.
High School:Lettered in Football and Track...Was named Most Athletic...Was a four-year letterwinner in Track...Assisted team in winning four consecutive championships for Outdoor Track and for the first time in history for Indoor Track...Holds both records for the 110m hurdles (14.43) and 300m (39.07) hurdles...Also was a part of the 4x400m record team...One-time Class “S” hurdle State Champion and one-time Class “M” hurdle State Champion...One-time State Open hurdle Champion...Received Best on Track, Most Improved and MVP...Four CCC All-Conference Team Awards...Four CCC Conference Champions...All-Academic Team Awards...MVP of Rhode Island Classic Indoor Invitational winning the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.53 (breaking high school record) and placing 1st in 4x400m and 1st in 4x200m relays.
