Summer WorkoutsDear Morgan State Volleyball Player,
This is your 2014 Strength & Conditioning Manual. It is imperative that you do not underestimate the importance of your summer training. As you know during spring practices we made great strides in our early preparation. It is paramount that we not only continue to improve but ascend to new levels. You have made enormous progress in strength and skills through your efforts during the off-season. Do not permit temptation to overcome your mindset or thought process. We must take positive steps forward.
Summer conditioning is the most pivotal phase for the upcoming volleyball season. This time period is the foundation for the entire year. As your strength staff, we must rely on you to maintain a championship level focus and determination. SELF-MOTIVATION becomes a major component; you must be able to discipline yourself during these months and continue to progress. Your accomplishments, both individually, and collectively as an entire team will be directly related to the efforts you put into your physical development as a player.
This summer conditioning manual represents many years of experience in the processes of coaching an athlete. This manual is scientific and current in methods, training concepts, conditioning, rest, and nutrition. This program will work for you, make sure you follow it. Your efforts will be measured and apparent to us when you report early in August and are evaluated.
If you have any questions regarding the information contained in this manual please feel free to give me a call in the weight room anytime during the summer at (443) 885-4248 or email me at
