Biography
At Morgan State...Sharonda Watson is a smart player who has good ball handling skills and great speed. She is in her second season at Morgan State, bringing a strong JUCO career at Solano Community College. The California native has a strong floor presence and tremendous speed. Those strengths should help in her senior season as a Lady Bear.
Junior College...One of eight returners...a great defensive player...primarily played the point guard position.
High School...At Vallejo HS played three years varsity...averaged 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game in her final season...shot 75 percent from the free throw line...the Apaches won the Monticello Empire League title in her sophomore and junior seasons.
Personal...Born July 12, 1983 in Vallejo...parents are Brian and Shirley Lake, sister is Porshe Watson...enjoys hanging out with her friends and shopping...has been playing basketball since she was six years old...psychology major.
