Biography

2010-11 (Junior): Earned the team’s most improved player award...Had her best season as a Lady Bear, playing in 32 games and making 10 starts...Averaged 4.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest...Tallied six points, four rebounds and an assist at Virginia (3/17) in the first round of the WNIT Tournament. It was the first postseason appearance in school history for the Lady Bears on the Division I level...Had a season-high three steals, six points, three assists and two rebounds against Howard (3/11) in the semifinals of the MEAC Tournament...Scored a career-high 25 points on a career-high 10-for-15 shooting, including a career-high five three-pointers and had a rebound at Norfolk State (2/26)...Added 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal as a starter at Delaware State (1/22)...Totaled 12 points and five rebounds against Coppin State (12/4).

 

2009-10 (Sophomore): Averaged 2.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, while playing 27 games and making 11 starts…Scored six points and had a season-high three steals against South Carolina State (2/15)…Totaled seven points on 3-for-4 shooting, four rebounds, three assists and a steal against Winston-Salem State (2/13)…Matched a season-best eight points at Norfolk State (1/31)…Scored a career-high eight points on 3-of-4 shooting, including 2-for-2 from three-point range at Brown (12/6) in the consolation game of the Brown Bear Classic…Collected six points, four rebounds and three steals in the season-opener at UNC Greensboro (11/14).

 

2008-09 (Freshman): Played in 27 games, making one start…Totaled 27 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and two assists and shot .750 percent (3-for-4) from the free throw line…Had four points and a rebound against Hampton (1/26)…Scored a season-high six points, including 2-for-2 from three-point range against LaSalle (12/3)…Notched five points on 2-of-3 shooting and pulled down a season-high three rebounds in a win over Tennessee State (11/22) in the opener of the Marshall Fifth Third Classic.

 

High School: Was a three-sport letterwinner in basketball, volleyball and track and field, while at Cumberland Valley High…Was a four-year letterwinner on the Eagles’ volleyball and basketball teams and lettered in track her senior year…Helped the basketball team to a district championship and was selected to the Pennsylvania All-Star game…Was coached by John Smith…As a member of the volleyball team, the Eagles captured a conference and district title.

 

Personal: Born on July 24, 1988, in Toledo, Ohio…Daughter of Edward and Cecelia Thomas…Has two siblings, Arthur, who played football at the University of Virginia and Carla, who played basketball at Vanderbilt (2004-07) where she earned All-SEC first team honors as a senior and ranks sixth all-time in scoring with 1,774 points…Graduated from Morgan State in May 2010 with a degree in biology…Is currently working on her graduate degree in nursing…Career ambition is to become a doctor and work with babies…Hobbies include playing the guitar and pottery.
