Morgan State University Athletics

At Morgan State...Candace is a versatile post player who brings lots of potential and talent into her second season as a Lady Bear.  Not only can she do damage on the low post, but Candace has the ability to be a force on the perimeter.  That combination makes her a tough match-up for many opponents.  She comes to MSU after an accomplished JUCO career at Solano Community College.

Junior College... One of eight returners at Solano Community College...a captain...has improved her game to include solid three-point and ball handling.

High School... Vallejo HS, played two years varsity basketball and was an All MEL selection her senior year as well as earning the coach's award...averaged seven points, six rebounds...was a member of the Apaches team that won the MEL title in 2000 and was the section runner-up her senior year.

Personal... Born December 25, 1982 in Vallejo...Parents are Roberta and Jack Holmes, brothers are Robert and Darren Holmes...enjoys going to the movies, reading and spending time with her friends...has been palying basketball for six years...Sociology major.
