High School: Was a three-time Maryland State 400 meter dash outdoor champion, while running for Reginald F. Lewis High...As a senior was the indoor state champion in the 500m (1:16.94) and 800m and was a runner-up in the 300m (41.23)...Was the 2008 Maryland State outdoor champion in the 400m with a time of 55.63...Was an AAU National bronze medalist in on the 4X800m relay team...A two-time All-Metro second team selection and earned All-Metro first team honors as a senior.
Personal: Born on Nov. 3, 1989...Has three sisters and four brother...Major is Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. Tyshia is a member of the Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority INC. As well as a mentor for the Blossom Girls at the Baltimore Freedom Academy and is a SAAC Representative.
