Morgan State Wrestlers Wrap Up Regular Season at Patriot Last Chance Open

Jones (133) Takes Fourth; Glasgow (174) Claims Fifth in Final Tune-Up Before EIWA Championships.

FAIRFAX, Va. (February 23, 2026) -- Morgan State closed out its regular-season competition with a solid showing at the Patriot Last Chance Open, hosted by George Mason University at the George Mason Field House.

The round-robin style tournament, sponsored by A Better Way Athletics, featured nine mats and drew competitors from a number of prominent NCAA Division I programs. Wrestlers from Army, Cornell, Indiana, Little Rock, Michigan, Navy, NC State, Pitt, Princeton, Rider, Rutgers, and Virginia were among those in attendance, providing a highly competitive field and a final opportunity for athletes to sharpen their skills ahead of the postseason.

For the Bears, junior Jimmie Jones delivered one of the team's top performances of the day, earning a fourth-place finish in the 133-pound bracket. Jones battled through a challenging slate of opponents, showing resilience and consistency throughout the day to secure his podium finish.

At 174 pounds, freshman Antoine Glasgow added a fifth-place showing, competing with intensity in a deep bracket. Glasgow's effort highlighted Morgan's competitiveness against strong Division I talent as the Bears prepare to turn the page on the regular season.

The Patriot Last Chance Open served as a key tune-up as Morgan State now turns its attention to the upcoming EIWA Wrestling Championships, set for March 6–7 in Washington, D.C. The Bears will look to carry momentum into the conference meet as they compete for podium finishes and NCAA qualifying spots.
