BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 21, 2026)--On Saturday the Morgan State women's basketball team fell at home to Delaware State, 74-59 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game at Hill Field House on Band & Cheer and Alumni Day.
With this win the Hornets evened the season series against the Lady Bears, improving to 5-21 on the season, 2-9 in the MEAC, while the Lady Bears dropped to 4-23, 3-8 MEAC.
The Hornets were led by junior Jermesha Frierson, who scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor, including two triples and 15 points from freshman phenom Amaya Scott, who shot nearly 80 percent from the field.
The win marks the first victory for the Hornets over Morgan State in two years with the last coming in February 2024.
