BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 1, 2026)--Morgan State begins the 2026-27 campaign at home when it welcomes Washington Adventist to Hill Field House on Monday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. for the fourth annual Morgan State University Education Day, "Building Bridges – Pathways to Education." This will be the third consecutive season that the two programs will meet on Education Day.
Morgan State (0-0), under the leadership of head coach
Nadine Domond, who is in her second season at the helm of the Lady Bears, looks to improve on last season's 5-26 overall mark, including 4-10 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
The Lady Bears face a challenging non-conference slate, which features a mix of both regional and national foes. Three programs (#18 Maryland, #22 Oklahoma State and #21 Oklahoma) are ranked in the preseason Top 25, and a total of 10 opponents (Colorado, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, UMBC, Maryland, FIU and Miami), including three MEAC teams (Howard, Norfolk State and Maryland Eastern Shore) all advanced to postseason play last season.
Washington Adventist (0-1), located in Takoma Park, Md., is coming off a 76-74 loss on the road at Oakland (Alabama) on October 24 to open up the season.
The NAIA Shock, who play out of the Continental Athletic Conference, had five players score in double figures. Angeleen Mulero led the way with 15 points and had seven rebounds, while Mya Latney came off the bench to score 14. Callie Genece and Litzy Lujan-Gonzales each finished with 13 points and Bruklyn Dublin grabbed a team-high nine rebounds to go with 12 points.
