BALTIMORE, Md. (August 20, 2025) – Morgan State wrestling head coach Kenny Monday announced the addition of five new student-athletes to the Bears' 2025-26 roster. The class includes four incoming freshmen along with one transfer, further strengthening the program's depth and competitiveness.
Monday added Campbell transfer Eugene Harney— and four freshmen —Antoine Glasgow (Lilburn, Ga.), Marwan Mohammed Nazeer (Spanga, Stockholm), Rohan Bucknor (White Plains, Md.), and Bence Veress (Budapest, Hungary).
Coach Monday conveyed immense enthusiasm for these recruits, stating, "We are fired up about the new young men we added to our roster." He further emphasized the strategic value each player brings, noting that "Each one brings their own unique skill set that adds depth and excitement to our team," signaling a promising outlook for the reinforced squad.
"Eugene Harney joins Morgan State as a transfer from Campbell University," added Monday. "He is a two-time state champion from Ohio, which is widely regarded as one of the top 3 states in the sport of wrestling. Eugene is a very strong and stingy wrestler, and his defense is one of the best in the country."
"Antonio Glasgow, a freshman from Georgia, is a state champ who will carry on the Glasgow legacy here at Morgan State. His father, a Morgan graduate and former Bear wrestler, paved the way, and Antonio now looks to continue that tradition on the mat."
Monday highlighted the addition of two international student-athletes to the roster, expressing his excitement about their impact on the program.
"Marwan Nazeer will help fill our gap at the 141-pound weight class," said Monday. "Marwan comes to Morgan from Sweden, where he was a national champion. Marwan is a very tenacious wrestler with outstanding speed and skill, and he will add toughness to our lightweight group."
"Bence Veress, a freshman from Hungary, will provide depth to our 197-pound weight class. He brings international experience, having represented his country at the U20 World Championships, and is also a national champion for Hungary."
