BALTIMORE, Md. (April 9, 2025) — The Morgan State men's tennis team dominated their Wednesday afternoon match against Coppin State, securing a decisive 7-0 victory on the Eagles' home court.
The dynamic duo of Mikeal Carpenter and Makkijha Brown set the tone for their team in doubles play, dominating court No. 1 with a decisive 6-1 victory over Harsh Kheterpal and Aidan Thomas-Cogar. Yessine Kerouat and Majidi Ben Abdelwahed also posted a 6-1 victory on Court 2 to seal the doubles point for the Bears.
The Bears rolled in singles action. Brown delivered a commanding performance on the No. 2 court, dismantling his opponent with a decisive 6-0, 6-1 victory. Not to be outdone, Carpenter continued his impressive run, securing a 6-0, 6-3 win on Court 1, further solidifying his position as a top player. Ghettas added to the Bears' momentum with a convincing 6-1, 6-3 triumph on court No. 4, while Kerouat mirrored the success with a similar 6-1, 6-3 victory on the No. 3 court
Parris and Poole finished off the match with wins on court 5 and court 6, respectively.
